Privacy Policy on the Processing of Personal Data, GDPR

Introduction

Oltrans Translation and Legalization Agency Ltd., UIC: 160103244, with head office and registered address 152, 6-ti Septemvri, Town of Plovdiv 4000 Bulgaria, tel. 0700 11 502, hereinafter referred to as “Oltrans”, in its capacity of administrator of personal data in the public and private domains, performs lawful activity on a legal basis specified in Art. 6 (1) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (General Data Protection Regulation, GDPR).

With this document, Oltrans aims to inform you about the way in which it processes your personal data, in its capacity as an administrator, as well as about your rights in this regard. Oltrans will aim to present useful information on its company website www.oltrans.bg
According to Art. 6, the processing of personal data by translators in the course of their normal professional activity does not require the consent of the individuals concerned, including signing of any forms and declarations. For reference – the explanations of the CPDP in relation to the GDPR, published on their website in the section “Be informed”, subsections “Current issues of public interest” and “Information and explanatory materials under Regulation (EU) 2016/679”.

WHAT ARE PERSONAL DATA AND THEIR PROCESSING

According to the General Data Protection Regulation:

“Personal data” means any information relating to an identified natural person or a natural person who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier or to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person.

“Processing” means any operation or set of operations which is performed on personal data or on sets of personal data, whether or not by automated means, such as collection, recording, organisation, structuring, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure by transmission, dissemination or otherwise making available, alignment or combination, restriction, erasure or destruction.

WAYS TO PROTECT PERSONAL DATA

Oltrans processes the personal data provided while filling in the Questionnaire that is required for participation in the ranking “Top 100 Translation Agencies in Bulgaria”.

In this regard, data subjects shall give electronic consent to the provision of their personal data as follows
– electronic consent – confirmation of consent to provide the personal data contained in the Questionnaire, which data shall be sent electronically through the Participation Form published on the website of the survey, namely top100pab.eu.

Oltrans Ltd. is a Personal Data Administrator in the CPDP under identification No. 0052264.

COLLECTION AND PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA

Oltrans shall provide your personal data only to its employees, project associates, duly mentioned on the website of the survey, in the section “Team” in accordance with the rules of the international standard ISO 17100:2015 (item 3 of “Methods of personal data protection”).

WHAT PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT

– names;
– IP address when visiting the website.

FOR WHAT PURPOSES AND ON WHAT BASIS DO WE USE YOUR PERSONAL DATA

Oltrans’ main objectives and grounds for the processing of your personal data are as follows:
• to prepare a revenue-based ranking of translation agencies registered in the Republic of Bulgaria, with details in particular about their owners or the persons authorized to fill in the Questionnaire.

STORAGE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

We will retain your personal information for the period necessary to fulfil the objectives set out in this privacy policy, unless we are required by law to retain it for a longer period. According to the types of data and the purposes for which they are collected, a retention period is set, at the end of which the information is permanently and irrevocably deleted.

SOCIAL MEDIA

Oltrans manages accounts on the social networks Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Google +, Google Business, YouTube and other networks and is not responsible for the processing of your personal data as a result of their use. Please read the General Terms and Conditions for use and processing of personal data on each of the networks you wish to use.

YOUR RIGHTS IN RELATION TO YOUR DATA

If you have provided your personal data to Oltrans, you have the following rights:

• to check how accurate, complete and up-to-date the contact details you provided are;
• to request appropriate correction, deletion or blocking of your personal data;
• to object at any time to the processing of your personal data when there are legal grounds for doing so;
• to refuse for your personal data to be processed for the purposes of receiving an e-newsletter and other marketing communications;
• to file a complaint with the Data Protection Commission if you believe that your data protection rights have been violated.

Oltrans reserves the right to refuse requests that are unfounded or repeated unreasonably, require great technical effort or endanger the privacy of other users. Also, Oltrans will not take into account applications that are subject to ethnic or gender discrimination, or are unacceptable for ethical reasons, or are not legally required to access them.
